I know peter because I love Jazz, not because He sang on Star academy (France)... Unfortunalty, all french girls know him like that...Peter is first a jazzman, and nobody knows that !
He went to my city, for the jazz festival of Montauban, in 2005, but I've missed him (you can see photos on this website ^^)
Since I've bought his 2 albums ("peter cincotti and On the moon), I'm passioned by jazz; Oscar peterson, Miles davis, Nat king cole ('course !), Duke Ellington, Ray charles, Franck Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and many others...
I'm very disappointed, P.C. doesn't make a concert at toulouse with his french Tour 2008.
So, i'll see him at Bordeaux !

I dicovered Peter on a France 2, a French Tv channel, in 2004. This channel showed short extracts of 3 titles of his 1st album, and I really fell in love with his music. It was the first time I was listening to jazz... Thanks to Peter... I bought his CD and I knew that this guy was going to have a very long career.

I knew Peter about 3 years ago thanks to my sister who had been in south of France for a show of his, whom i didn't know. i listened to On The Moon and I fell in love... then he became famous tahnks to GP and it was great cuz he went on tour and i could see him twice, so nice... now i'm definitely fan !!!! that's my story :)

Well that's right, I'm a French girl and I know Peter and his music thanks to the Star Academy (it proves that this broadcast can be useful sometimes) but I know that Peter is first a jazzman! If people in France don't know very well Peter Cincotti, I think that's because the Jazz music is less widespread there than in the USA. So yes you are right to be proud of knowing Peter before most people in France, but I think that "thanks to" the Star'Ac, Peter (and his music) is becoming more famous, what he really really really deserves !

I'm a french girl, and though I've never watched Star Academy I know Peter cincotti ! I'm glad to escape the "rule" ;) I heard Goodbye Philadelphia for the first time on radio quite a long time ago, and I bought the CD immediately. I totally fell in love with his music, and he plays the piano so well... I'm admirative! Moreover he's quite handsome ! ^^ Those are good reasons for going to see him in Paris lol !
I'm from Belgium and I just saw him on Staracademy France. I just went straight to the computer and checked who is was. I think i just fell in love with him... But I do love jazz music too, so I'm definately going to see him when he's playing here in March =D
Windy - Cinderella Beautiful is my favorite song on the new CD, from what I have heard so far. I recently broke up with my boyfriend of 3 years because long distance just got to be too difficult as we both become busy with graduate school. About 2 weeks later, I discovered Cinderella Beautiful - it was the first time a song has ever really spoken to me. "I'm doing fine, but sometimes every now and then I miss who I was with you." Such a great writer.

I agree! I fell in love with the jazz music of the first CD. Although I like On The Moon, in my opinion, it did not compare to the first one. I have not yet bought the most recent CD, but plan to soon! I love Cinderella Beautiful......I'm not sure if it's because I can relate to the lyrics or because of his amazing voice.....either way, my hats off to Peter....YOU DID IT AGAIN!!!! Hopefully I will see you in the US again SOMEDAY!!!!!!!!

my point is that the official site should be the place to go to get the latest, most up-to-date information...and those of us who have been around since the official site first launched know that this site has consistently been an unreliable source...
we've dealt with the frustration for years...yet we've stuck it out...only to have the official site changed and fan forum dismantled without any notice...
I sincerely hope that this new format means that this is a new day and we will now be able to come here for accurate release dates, tour dates, etc...

This site actually does have a link to purchase the album in France, UK, or Germany. It is under the MUSIC link on the main bar.

well, they said it would be released in the fall...and then in early '08...and now spring...
sure, I can go to a foreign site and purchase the blinkin' disc, but why?
all I'm asking is that two things happen...first, that accurate information is posted here about the US release date and when a delay comes, that I'm not reading about it everywhere else but on the official site...second, that a link be posted on the official site that will enable US fans to purchase a cd that European fans have had for months...
and I don't think those are unreasonable expectations...other sites manage to do it...other artists who are completely self-funded do it...there's no reason for this site to be so poorly managed and the US fans so ignored...

Fellow USA-ers CAN purchase the album now. You can surely go to a foreign Amazon site, or, you can order the import from located here:

The price really shot up from the original price around $13 when it was when it was first released last year around October (a lot of people ordered in September, then it was pushed back a few times to a ship date of October/November). We won't know if there will be a difference from the International Version versus the US version...until the US version is actually released ;)
So, all hope is not lost. I ordered two last year and plan to buy the US domestic release when (if?) it is finally released, just to show my support.

I believe the US release is set for "spring 2008," to which I say that I am now in "spring" semester, so let us have the darned thing already!! If you can't wait for it to come out here in the states, you can probably order it from Europe (like Amazon UK) and just pay a ton for shipping.

When, oh when, is the new CD coming out? Does ANYONE know anything about it? I know it's finished and been released overseas, but why not here in the US?
