Well, after a semi-scary experience with a moderator (who was very kind and supportive as I'm sure all moderators are) it is now time to reconvene my blog. I had it on hold for a while, hoping to avoid being kicked off of the website... but now with a strong reassurance that I'm not *too* far off topic I'm ready to continue on with my small attempts at supporting Peter Cincotti in whatever way possible. Whether that's writing about cover versions that are just freaking hilarious or paying ridiculous amounts of cash to support him I can't always say...
Speaking of ridiculous amounts of cash, it is now 100% confirmed that, after long hours at the negotiating table with my parents, I will be freaking lucky enough to make it to Peter Cincotti's concert in Denver, CO. I will be on the fourth row. THE FOURTH FREAKING ROW!!!! I go from having never heard of this guy before to traveling 700 miles to see him for one night. AND GETTING TO SIT ON THE FOURTH ROW!!!! This is awesome!!
Now for a segue. In my semi-scary experience, the kind moderator said something that made me think. She said, "There is something special about Peter Cincotti fans." You know, I think she's right. It takes a certain amount of... (dare I say it) intelligence to truly enjoy his music and once they get it, they seem to connect with the songs. This connection is shared throughout the Peter Cincotti community and it seems to bring us together. I honestly don't think there's such a thing as a casual Peter Cincotti fan. Everyone seems to either become fanatic about his music or simply...not enjoy it at all. Though I have to say I know of very few people who belong in the second category.
Well, here's to being allowed to say on the website!
